Why people love it

  • The canal location. Guests like having bars and restaurants out the front door, with MAG Cafe close by.
  • Courtyard rooms. Reviewers say rooms facing the courtyard are quiet, with a great bed, and the courtyard restaurant is a calm spot.
  • Breakfast. Guests describe an ample breakfast with pastries and tea.
  • Atmosphere. Reviewers call the building historic, tasteful and slightly retro, with helpful staff.

The worst thing guests say

Noise recurs. Six guests between October 2024 and October 2026 said canal-facing or street-facing rooms are loud until about 2:30 am, and then garbage collection starts around 5:30 am. One June 2025 guest booked a courtyard room and was given one facing the front. In 2017 one guest reported strangers entering their room at night, and nothing similar appears in recent reviews.

Insider tips

  • Book a courtyard room, not the canal side.
  • Ask for confirmation of the room type in writing.
  • Parking is limited, which is hard with a big family and luggage.
Who it's for: couples who want to be in the middle of Navigli nightlife and can get a courtyard room.
Skip it if you need a quiet street-facing room.
