NH Collection Genova Marina

A 4-star hotel inside the Porto Antico marina complex in Genoa, with a restaurant, a terrace with marina views and a gym.

Why people love it

• Location at the Old Port. Many recent guests say you step out the door and you are in Porto Antico, with the aquarium and old town within walking distance.
• Rooms and design. Guests describe the rooms as spacious, clean and well equipped, with a fresh, refined design. One guest found them quite small.
• Staff. Recent reviewers call the staff friendly, professional and kind. One guest in September 2026 had to change rooms on the first night because of noise and said it was handled easily and kindly.
• Terrace and bar. A local who found the hotel while walking to the port praised the terrace overlooking the marina, and another guest praised the bar and restaurant service.

The worst thing guests say

Among overnight guests, a September 2026 review described a freezing room and weak heating, an August 2026 review described a strong smell outside the lift that the guest linked to the carpet, and a June 2026 review described a reservation entered for the wrong day and a poor response from the front desk. Older reviews mention air conditioning that did not work in August 2025, a king bed made of two single mattresses in July 2025, and a car break-in in the hotel parking in July 2024. Several 1-star reviews from 2019 to 2023 describe dated rooms and rude or slow service.

Insider tips

• Booked a king bed? Check at arrival whether it is one mattress or two singles.
• Ask for a room away from noise if you are a light sleeper.
