La Briosa
A recently renovated, award-winning wooden-architecture hotel on the edge of Bolzano's limited-traffic zone, with underground parking and a generous breakfast.
RisingWhy people love it
- Chiara and the front desk. Chiara is named in several reviews from January to September 2026, along with Hajjaj, Khalid and owner Dr. D'Onofrio. Guests mention check-in tours and local tips.
- Breakfast. Guests call it abundant and excellent, with fresh coffee, fruit, yoghurt, cheese, ham and omelets to order. One party had breakfast started early for them.
- Design and rooms. Reviewers describe spacious, spotless rooms with lots of wood, blackout blinds and electronic blinds, and a room view that was a highlight.
- Walkable location. Guests walk to the old town and to Walther Mall.
Why they come back
"As always, top-notch! Everything was well explained, friendly... The wine was very good, I'll be back."
The worst thing guests say
Noise and access are the main complaints. A September 2025 guest on the first floor said the rooms are not as soundproofed as claimed, and an August 2026 guest advised earplugs because of a loud car at night. In January 2026 a guest said staff told them to ignore a no-entry sign on the access street. In May 2026 another guest noticed a smell of stagnant water in the room. Two 2023 guests said the door was not opened for them at night.
Insider tips
- Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper, or ask for an upper floor.
- Check the access street rules before driving to the hotel.
- Underground parking is available, with a few spaces.
