Hotel Villa Laguna
A 19th-century villa on the Lido waterfront with lagoon-view rooms, a restaurant, a terrace and a vaporetto stop 50 meters away.
Why people love it
- Lagoon views. Guests praise the sunset views over Venice from rooms, balconies and the breakfast area on the water.
- Breakfast and restaurant. Reviewers call breakfast superb and the restaurant very good; one guest extended their stay after a sunset dinner.
- Staff. Guests describe friendly, attentive and helpful staff.
- Easy transit. The vaporetto stop is about 50 meters away, and a bus reaches the Lido public beach in about 3 minutes.
Why they come back
"This is our second time returning to this hotel, which, for its location and structure, is unsurpassed."
The worst thing guests say
Noise, cold rooms and old furnishings. In 2026, one guest reported motorboat noise at night, old furnishings and a 22 euro parking fee (May), and another nearly froze in the room (March). Two reviewers in March 2025 wrote that they were contacted by someone offering money for 5-star reviews; we could not verify this. Other 1-star reviews concern the car ferry not running during the July festivities and refund disputes after illness or cancelled flights.
Insider tips
- Ask for a lagoon-facing room for the sunset views.
- Parking is about 22 euros a night.
- Check the car ferry schedule around the July 19 festival.
