AC Hotel Venice

A Marriott-brand hotel at Piazzale Roma, next to the bus, tram, People Mover and water bus, with a tapas bar and included breakfast in some bookings.

Why people love it

• Transport location. Guests say it sits next to buses, the tram, the People Mover and vaporetto stops, about a 5-minute walk to the train station.
• Staff. Nicholas, as the hotel welcomer, is praised in an August 2026 review, and others mention quick luggage delivery and friendly front desk staff.
• Breakfast. Reviewers describe a good selection, with water filling stations.
• Clean rooms. Guests call the rooms clean and comfortable, though many say they are very small.

The worst thing guests say

Rude front desk staff and very small rooms. In September 2026 two guests complained about unhelpful or dismissive reception staff, and older reviews (2024 and 2025) say the same. One guest in September 2026 itched every night after being put on the first floor. A guest in August 2026 reported pickpockets using the back of the hotel. Rooms were described as tiny, with a slippery shower, in 2025. Other older reviews mention no air conditioning, work sites near rooms, and no refunds.

Insider tips

• There are steps at the entrance and no ramp, so plan for luggage.
• Rooms are very small, so travel light.
• Watch your belongings near the back of the hotel by the canal bridge.
