Hotel Villa delle Palme
A small hotel in a 1903 villa on the Lido, near the vaporetto stop, with a garden, a terrace with lagoon views and homemade breakfast.
Hidden gemRisingValue pickWhy people love it
- Homemade breakfast. Guests mention tarts and cakes that change every day, and thank Tatiana for the breakfasts.
- Quiet Lido setting. Guests describe a calm hotel with a garden, a short walk from the vaporetto stop and more peaceful than Venice itself.
- The terrace at golden hour. A guest in August 2025 recommended homemade cake and an aperol there at sunset.
- Staff. Francesca helped a guest find local spots, and others call the owners and staff friendly and attentive.
- Family-friendly. A family of three with a 3-year-old said it was comfortable, and another large family had two birthdays celebrated.
The worst thing guests say
Small rooms. Complaints since 2021 are mostly about rooms that feel too small for two people (August 2025, 2021 and 2017), noisy air conditioning (2017 and 2018), and in April 2026 a guest mentioned a shower issue. The most serious older report is a dirty bathroom in September 2021, cleaned after they pointed it out. Of 24 reviews since July 2025, only a few mention small rooms.
Insider tips
- Rooms are small, so ask for a larger category if you are traveling with luggage.
- It is a short walk from the Lido vaporetto stop.
- The Lido is a ferry ride from central Venice, so plan for that.
