The worst thing guests say

Dampness and condition of some rooms. In October 2025 a guest in ground-floor room 1 found a strong stench from the bathroom and a rotten bathroom door that would not close. In October 2026 a guest described extreme humidity and tired rooms. A 2022 guest reported bedbugs in the curtains of all four rooms. Other complaints are noise from the road and the waterfall below, stairs without an elevator, poor wifi and a walk of a kilometer or more to Stresa or Baveno.

• Ask for a lake-view room and avoid ground-floor room 1.
• Expect stairs from the parking and no elevator.
• Without a car, you are about a kilometer from the nearest town and the road has no sidewalk.
