Why people love it

• The pool and garden. Many 2026 guests mention the large pool, whirlpool and garden. Several say the water is cold.
• Spacious, quiet rooms. Guests in July and August 2026 describe spotlessly clean, spacious rooms with quiet air conditioning. One had a large terrace over the lake.
• Staff. Several 2026 reviewers describe the staff as friendly, professional and helpful. One guest named Stephane and family for the warm welcome.
• Restaurant. A June 2026 guest recommended the strawberry gazpacho with prawns, and others praise the food and the bar.
• Value. Several guests call it good value for a four-star hotel.

The worst thing guests say

Since 2022 the complaints are mostly about upkeep and extras. In July 2026 one guest found the facilities dated and in need of renovation, and another said they were charged for a night they cancelled after booking directly. In September 2024 a guest reported a freezing pool and a toilet problem. Older reviews mention a noisy street-facing room 412 in 2020, parking at 19 euros in 2022 and an evening restaurant service in September 2026 where the first course arrived at 9 pm.

Insider tips

• Book the restaurant early on rainy evenings, as one September 2026 dinner ran very late.
• Ask for a lake-side room away from the street.
• Confirm cancellation terms in writing if you book by email.
• Parking was 19 euros extra in 2022.
