Hotel Du Parc
A small three-star hotel with a garden, bar and restaurant on the edge of Stresa town center, with free parking and breakfast.
Why people love it
- Location. Guests say the ferry terminals and restaurants are within a 2 to 5 minute walk, and there is a car park.
- The hosts. A guest in August 2026 stayed for a second time that year and said it was even better. Another wrote that you arrive as a stranger and leave as a friend.
- Named staff. Luciana at reception went above and beyond according to a September 2026 guest, and another reviewer praised the manager.
- Garden and rooms. Reviewers mention the garden, large balconies and spacious air-conditioned rooms.
Why they come back
"We stayed there for the second time this year and it was even better."
The worst thing guests say
Train noise and the annex rooms recur, mostly in older reviews. Guests in 2017, 2019, 2021 and 2022 said the railway behind the hotel is clearly audible and that annex rooms are dark, old and need renovation. In July 2026 a guest found hair on the pillows and uncomfortable beds, and in September 2026 another found the mattress and pillows poor. A 2022 guest felt the annex differed from the website photos.
Insider tips
- Ask for a room in the main building, not the annex.
- Light sleeper? Ask for a room away from the railway.
- A kettle was missing from a room in October 2026, so bring your own tea if it matters.
- Free parking is available on site.
