Hotel Rivoli Sorrento
A small three-star hotel of about nine rooms in a medieval building in Sorrento's old town, with a rooftop terrace and breakfast included.
Why people love it
- Fabio and the family staff. Fabio, Renato, Simona and Alex are named in reviews. The owner brought one guest a birthday cake with candles at breakfast.
- Location. It is in the old town near shops, restaurants, the train station (under a 10 minute walk) and the ferry.
- Breakfast. Several guests call it homemade and fresh. A few others say the quality could be better.
- Family rooms and kitchens. One family room has a sliding door to a twin bedroom for children. Some rooms have a small cooking area with pots and pans.
Why they come back
"We've been staying here for several years and have a wonderful time. The rooms are clean, the service impeccable, the location is top-notch, and Fabio is superb."
The worst thing guests say
In 2025 and 2026 the main complaint is breakfast quality, from two guests in April 2025 and June 2026. In 2024 one guest noticed a slight plumbing smell, which the hotel fixed right away. Older reviews include a 2020 guest who saw ants, a 2019 guest accused of taking blankets, and a 2013 canceled booking. Nothing similar appears in reviews since 2024.
Insider tips
- Taxis can't reach the door, so expect a walk of about 20 meters from the drop-off.
- Ask about the rooms with kitchenettes if you are staying several nights.
- Some rooms look onto an alley, so ask about a street-facing balcony if the view matters.
