Hilton Sorrento Palace

A large four-star Hilton resort-style hotel on the hill above Sorrento, about 1 km from the center, with a pool, restaurant and free shuttle.

Why people love it

• The pool and grounds. Recent guests call the pool beautiful and the property large and resort-like. One guest says the rooftop and outdoor area is good for lunch.
• Views of the bay. Several September 2026 reviews mention sea views toward the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius from the rooms.
• Spacious rooms and breakfast. Guests describe large, clean rooms. One compared the free breakfast to "a cruise ship morning".
• Free shuttle and beach service. A September 2026 guest lists the free shuttle and free beach service as highlights. Staff are called professional and helpful in many recent reviews.

The worst thing guests say

Among the lowest ratings, a guest in October 2025 said items were stolen from their room and their suitcase was searched. In January 2026 another said they were given a dark, musty room much poorer than the one they paid for. Reviews from 2023 and 2024 mention black mold in a bathroom, sewer water coming up through a bathroom floor, and an air conditioner that was still broken after two reports. About eight of the 1-star reviews, from 2023 to March 2026, describe rude or slow staff and slow check-in. Recent 4 and 5 star reviews do not repeat these problems.

Insider tips

• Ask for a sea-view room when you book and again at check-in, since one guest was told none were available.
• Rooftop pool access was said to cost extra per person in 2023, so ask before you plan on it.
• Food and drinks on site are described as expensive.
• The hotel is about 1 km from the center, so plan on the shuttle or a taxi.
