Mon Repos
A three-star hotel near the tip of the Sirmione peninsula, set in a park of olive trees with a pool, a bistro and lake views, a short walk from the old town.
Why people love it
- A quiet green setting. Guests describe peace, greenery and silence at night, yet a short walk from the center.
- The pool. Guests mention plenty of sun loungers and a clean pool bar.
- Food. Breakfast gets frequent praise, and one guest enjoyed dinner and pizza at the bistro.
- Dog-friendly and helpful staff. A May 2026 guest called it a wonderful dog-friendly hotel, and Massimo is thanked by name.
The worst thing guests say
Wear and cleanliness. In April 2026 a 3-star guest said the hotel is old and shows its age, and another mentioned a dated look. Other reviews from 2024 and 2025 mention hair on the shower, a small room with an uncomfortable mattress, and cleaners starting early. A 2021 guest reported mold and spiders in the restroom. In October 2024 a guest said a pool staff member was rude when asked about gluten-free food.
Insider tips
- The last slope before the hotel is steep, so pulling a suitcase is hard.
- Give the hotel your plate number for the restricted traffic zone.
- The road may be closed on busy days.
