Marconi
A family-run hotel on the Sirmione waterfront with a lakeside terrace, a private pier and sun loungers for guests.
Why people love it
- The family. Carlo, Alessandra and their son Noah are named in a September 2026 review, which says the whole team wants guests cared for. Another guest was offered two coffees on arrival.
- Right on the lake. Guests describe direct lake access from the terrace and a pier, with private sun loungers reserved for hotel guests. A July 2026 guest on a honeymoon went in for a swim from the water's edge.
- Home-made breakfast. Several guests describe breakfast as home-made, generous and varied, with a breakfast room of handmade items.
- Calm in a busy town. Guests call the hotel quiet and peaceful compared with the old town, which is a short walk away.
The worst thing guests say
In 21 reviews from July to October 2026, one is below 4 stars. A guest in September 2026 gave 1 star, saying conditions in the hotel annex were not clearly described on Booking.com and that soundproofing was practically nonexistent, with normal conversations audible through the walls. Older complaints include a 2019 review about limited attention to celiac guests and a 2020 review saying the building needed renovation.
Insider tips
- Driving through the old town to reach the hotel is tight. Guests say it is manageable.
- Private parking was EUR 15 a day in August 2026.
- Check which building your booking is in. The 1-star guest was in the annex.
