• Sonia and the staff. Sonia is named for kindness. Two guests were upgraded to suites, in 2025 and 2026.
• Rooms with views. The Rosa room has sunrise views, and guests also mention the Pompeii room. Connecting rooms worked well for a family with children.
• Breakfast on the terrace. One guest called it extraordinary, served with a view over Siena.
• Central location. Guests walk to the main sights and use it as a base for nearby wineries.

The worst thing guests say

A guest in June 2026 gave 3 stars because the hotel is hard to reach by car, with no parking nearby and narrow streets full of pedestrians. In August 2023 a guest's air conditioning stopped on the first night and they had to call the owner outside reception hours. We found no other repeated complaints.
