Splendide Riviera Boutique Art Hotel

A recently renovated seafront hotel in Rapallo that reopened on July 4, 2025, with a restaurant, a bar and a short walk to the ferry terminal.

Why people love it

• Renovated rooms. Guests describe new, clean, modern rooms with a coffee machine, a generous courtesy kit and bathrobes. One had a large sea-facing terrace.
• Location. It is on the seafront next to the old town, two minutes from the ferry terminal.
• The staff. Guests from late 2025 and 2026 call the team friendly, professional and accommodating. One hotel allowed a cancellation after the free deadline had passed.
• Restaurant and bar. Guests mention the Hey restaurant's fish dishes and the bar downstairs.

The worst thing guests say

Since the renovation, complaints are few. In August 2026 one guest said breakfast was limited and the hotel accepts dogs but does not allow them in the lobby. In March 2026 one guest found the parking confusing. One October 2025 visitor to the restaurant called it poor value and nearly empty. Reviews before the 2025 reopening, from 2020 to 2024, reported broken air conditioning, rooftop air conditioning noise, no hot water and noise from the road, and describe the hotel before it was renovated.

Insider tips

• Parking is not straightforward. Ask the hotel how to park before you arrive.
• Ask for a room away from the main road if you are a light sleeper.
• Dogs are accepted, but check the rules for common areas first.
