Palazzo Dalla Rosa Prati
A hotel and apartments in a 13th-century palace on Piazza Duomo in Parma, with a cafe and bar, a terrace and on-site parking.
Why people love it
- The location. Guests call it as central as it gets, on the cathedral square in a limited-traffic zone, and several say it is quiet.
- Apartments for groups. A family of six used a three-bedroom apartment, and another group stayed in two. A family was upgraded from two bedrooms to three.
- Rooms with kitchens. Guests mention kitchenettes and a washing machine, which one cycling couple found useful.
- Staff. Guests call the staff helpful, and one said they helped get a hard-to-find dinner reservation.
Why they come back
"This is the second time we stayed at Palazzo Della Rosa Prati."
The worst thing guests say
Noise and age. In November 2025 a guest called the rooms extremely noisy and the palazzo in need of renovation, and a September 2026 guest found their room a bit dated. Older reviews mention damp, a basic room and cleanliness lapses (2022 and 2023) and no lift to some floors (2023). Breakfast was called below four-star standard in November 2025.
Insider tips
- Ask about a quiet room away from the street.
- Check which floor you are on, as one older review said there was no lift access.
- Arriving by car? Use the on-site parking.
