Why people love it

  • Rooms with high ceilings. Guests describe antique furniture, patterned tile floors and modern bathrooms. One stayed in a suite with a roof terrace.
  • Breakfast. Guests call it extensive, with cheese, ham, cakes and focaccia.
  • Staff. Andrea at reception gave one couple restaurant tips and a guided tour of Gallipoli. Guests say staff helped with parking.
  • Cooking class. Two guests took the cooking class, including a bachelorette party in August 2025.

Why they come back

"A wonderful stay in the heart of Gallipoli's historic center. I'm returning for the second time."

The worst thing guests say

In September 2024 one guest gave 2 stars and shortened a three-night stay because the room was behind the reception desk and they could hear everything. Other guests have mentioned a noisy fridge and an air conditioner that did not cover a whole suite. The old town is a ZTL, so cars cannot drive in.

Insider tips

  • Ask for a room away from reception.
  • Use the hotel's shuttle or nearby parking, because the old town is a restricted zone.
  • Ask about the cooking class.
Who it's for: couples and families who want a historic palazzo in the old town at a fair price.
Skip it if you want a pool or a modern hotel.
