Why people love it

• The garden. Several guests describe the Renaissance garden as the main reason to stay, and one says it is among the best gardens in central Florence.
• The pool and spa. One August guest planned one night, then extended the stay to spend a full day at the pool, spa and gym. That guest recommends the lemon pasta by the pool.
• Staff. Guests say staff learn your name, and one September guest praises the service and kindness of all staff. Another mentions a shuttle service.
• Breakfast and bed. A September guest wrote that the breakfast and the bed were both excellent. Another praised the dinner and breakfast.

The worst thing guests say

Service and check-in are the most common complaints. Among the 15 newest stayer reviews, from August to October 2026, a September 2026 review criticizes a staff member by name, a 2-star review from September calls it a disappointing Four Seasons experience, a 3-star review from September mentions an $80 charge for a handbag in the closet, and a 1-star review from August says children at the pool were loud. Slow check-in is the topic of 1-star reviews from June 2016, May 2017, April 2018 and June 2025, when a guest waited 25 minutes. A March 2023 guest reported a double charge followed by further charges of 600 to 800 euros. Visitors who were turned away from the restaurant or bar wrote several 1-star reviews between 2021 and April 2025.
