La Reginella
A small two-star hotel on a hillside walk from the center of Capri, with a breakfast terrace, sea and cliff views, and a small patio at each room.
Why people love it
- Alex, the owner. Alex is named in most reviews for his welcome, advice on getting around and recommendations for food and sights. One couple traveling with their dog felt welcomed.
- Breakfast. Guests call the included breakfast fresh, varied and served on a terrace with a view, and one guest remembers the homemade cakes.
- Quiet. Reviewers describe a very quiet hotel away from the busy part of town, with rooms where they slept well.
- Value. Guests mention several amenities at no extra cost and describe fair prices, including a guest in October 2025 who says there is more than in some four-star hotels.
- Dogs. The hotel lists dogs as allowed, and a May 2026 guest stayed with a dog.
The worst thing guests say
In July 2025 one guest gave 1 star and wrote that the manager, Alex, was racist and treated non-white guests badly. Among the 24 reviews since October 2025, none repeats the claim, and most name Alex as helpful and welcoming. A February 2025 guest rated 2 stars because the hotel is far from the center and the room was small for two. Older complaints include a room not cleaned properly after the previous guests in 2015 and ventilation problems in 2022.
Insider tips
- Expect a walk of about 7 to 15 minutes to the center, and the hotel is reached on foot.
- Book directly, as one May 2026 guest did.
- Ask Alex for restaurant and hiking tips.
