Donizetti Residence

A contemporary apartment hotel in lower Bergamo with units around a gated garden courtyard and parking in a garage.

Why people love it

• Clean, modern apartments. Guests describe the units as spacious, new and spotlessly clean, with fully equipped kitchens. One guest said the apartment looked exactly like the photos on Booking.com.
• Location. It is close to the center of lower Bergamo, a few minutes from the train station that connects to Milan and Lake Como. Guests also mention restaurants and cafes nearby on a quiet street.
• The owners and staff. Coco and Marcella are named by guests. Staff explained how the appliances worked and arranged parking in the garage.
• Quiet courtyard. Several guests call the gated patio quiet and peaceful, with air conditioning in the apartments.

Why they come back

"I've stayed twice in Bergamo and this is the best accomodation ever."

The worst thing guests say

Four guests between 2019 and January 2026 arrived late after delayed flights and found no one to check them in. They said they were charged for the nights anyway and refused a refund; the two most recent were in January 2025 and January 2026. In summer 2026 one guest heard noise from the gate and knocking from the building. Among 289 reviews, no pests or cleanliness problems appear.

Insider tips

• Arriving late? Tell them your arrival time in advance and confirm it in writing, since several guests were locked out after delays.
• Ask about the floors, as one guest in April 2026 found them cold.
• Parking is available in the garage.
