Academia Residence
A family-run guesthouse in a 17th-century building in lower Bergamo, below Citta Alta, with a shaded terrace and airport transfers.
Why people love it
- Welcome and check-in. Owners greet guests, and a key box allowed late and 2 a.m. arrivals.
- Large, clean rooms. Guests mention spacious, bright rooms and a large room with a private bathroom.
- Location. It is on a quiet cobblestone street with cafes nearby. Citta Alta and the stadium are about a 15-minute walk.
- Parking. Several guests mention free on-site parking, though it is small.
The worst thing guests say
Cleanliness, heat and parking appear across reviews. In November 2025 a guest said the parking space was too small for normal cars and the shower did not work. In 2024 two guests described poor cleaning and rooms that were too hot, and one found a room with no proper ventilation. A June 2026 attic room was warm despite air conditioning. A 2018 guest reported a stolen piece of jewelry. A May 2026 guest thought breakfast at 13 euros was not worth it.
Insider tips
- The parking is for small cars only.
- Attic rooms can run warm, so ask for a lower room in summer.
- Use the key box for late arrivals.
