Casa Scaparone
A restored rural village outside Alba with rooms, a restaurant, a pool and a covered veranda where breakfast and meals are served.
Why people love it
- The setting. Guests describe a renovated old farm village with antique-style rooms, a pool among the vineyards and music in the courtyard.
- Food. Guests praise the breakfast of homemade local products and the tasting menu. One guest celebrated a wedding there.
- Staff. Reception staff member Chiara is named for her help, and guests describe the staff as discreet and kind.
- Families and dogs. A June 2026 family with children enjoyed the pool and a guest brought a dog.
Why they come back
This is my third visit to this place, because you always return to places where you've had a wonderful time!
The worst thing guests say
Recurring stayer complaints concern the rooms and value. In July 2026 a guest found it pricey with no Wi-Fi or TVs in the rooms. In November 2025 and July 2025 two guests gave 1 star over their assigned rooms, one paying EUR 510 for three nights. Earlier, a 2021 guest complained of noise heard between rooms and a 2020 guest of a musty room with no insect screens. Many other 1 star reviews from 2019 to 2025 come from restaurant visitors about portions, prices and service.
Insider tips
- Ask what room you are assigned before arrival.
- Expect no TV or Wi-Fi in the rooms, according to a July 2026 guest.
- The restaurant closes for two days, so check which.
