B&B Mary
A family-run bed and breakfast on the outskirts of Alba with a courtyard, parking and breakfasts that include homemade cakes.
Why people love it
- The hosts. Guests describe the owners as kind, available and quick to share tips on the Langhe. Several mention that the family runs the place themselves.
- Homemade breakfast. Reviews mention cakes baked by the owner, including hazelnut cake, apricot tart and chocolate cake, with sweet and savory options and fresh fruit salad.
- Large, very clean rooms. Guests repeatedly use the words spacious and spotless. One reviewer called it the best B&B of a month-long trip through Italy.
- Parking. There is parking in an adjacent courtyard, which guests mention in several reviews.
Why they come back
Absolutely wonderful, such great hosts, very friendly and accommodating, we always love coming here.
The worst thing guests say
The most serious stayer complaint is a 1 star from September 2023 about the bed, an old-style spring mattress that the guest said did not allow a good night's sleep. Nothing similar appears in the 25 or so stayer reviews since. A January 2023 1 star came from someone who did not stay and was upset about the rule against leaving a dog alone in the room, and a 2018 1 star said only that there was no elevator.
Insider tips
- Dogs are accepted, but you can't leave one alone in the room.
- There is no elevator.
- It's about a 10 minute drive from the center of Alba.
