La Villa Calvi

A five-star hillside hotel above Calvi with five pools, a spa, a restaurant and views over the bay.

Why people love it

• The setting. Guests describe views over Calvi Bay from the upper part of town, large rooms and a spa they liked.
• Pools and spa. Reviewers mention a pool with a bar, pool service and a day at the spa, with the restaurant close by.
• Staff and welcome. A guest in June 2026 called the welcome exceptional, and another said the staff are fantastic and the restaurant amazing.
• Rooms. Guests call the rooms modern, comfortable and a good size.

The worst thing guests say

A 4-star review in August 2026 said the hotel aims for luxury but the rooms are only 4-star standard and pool service did not match the prices. One June 2026 guest could not make the room dark enough at night, and a July 2026 guest found the bathroom lacking. One August 2026 guest had itchy eyes after the pool. Several older low ratings from 2019 to 2025 came from restaurant visitors about food and booking a table, and one 2020 review called the hotel xenophobic.

Insider tips

• You need a car to get to the center of Calvi, since the hotel sits on the upper quarter.
• Book a restaurant table well ahead, as several visitors had trouble reserving.
• Light sleepers: one guest said the rooms cannot be made fully dark.
