Hôtel Central Bastia

Why people love it
- Decor and building. Guests describe terracotta and cement floor tiles, antique furniture, vintage finds and rooms that each have their own atmosphere.
- Staff. Léa is thanked by name for her welcome at breakfast. Guests describe staff helping with bags up the stairs and holding luggage for several days.
- Breakfast in the courtyard. Guests call breakfast good and generous, with very good coffee. Others found it basic.
- Location. Guests say it is in the old city and easy to walk from, near Place St. Nicolas.
The worst thing guests say
Cleanliness and condition. In 2025 and 2026 four guests reported hair in the shower, a dirty bathroom, a dirty seat or bugs in the room. In August 2025 one guest said room 301 did not match the booking photos. A 2024 guest said the hotel cancelled a reservation, charged them and did not refund. There is no elevator, and a 2021 guest on the first floor reported street noise all night.

- There is no lift, so ask for a lower floor if stairs are hard. The top floor is a 4th floor walk-up.
