• Location for ferries and trains. Guests say the ferry terminal, bus, train, shops and old town are all within easy walking distance.
• Rooms better than the exterior. Several 2026 guests say the outside looks old but the rooms are newly renovated, clean and air conditioned, some with a terrace and sea view. Room 30 is mentioned as newly renovated.

The worst thing guests say

Refund policy is the main recent complaint. A guest in August 2026 whose ferry was cancelled was refused a refund, one in October 2024 describes the same on a non-refundable rate, and in August 2025 a guest said their reservation was cancelled without notice and the price rose by over €50. Most noise and cleanliness complaints, such as air-conditioning units in 2019 and room cleaning in 2018 and 2019, are older. A 2024 guest finishing the GR20 trail found the receptionist's welcome poor, and a 2025 guest said backpacks were not allowed in the room.
